Abstract

[Indexed for MEDLINE] 16. Arch Orthop Trauma Surg. 2005 Mar;125(2):120-3. doi: 10.1007/s00402-004-0770-6. Epub 2004 Dec 16. Transulnar styloid palmar scapho-lunate dislocation with median nerve injury. Arora J(1). Author information: (1)Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, Dumfries, UK. arorajayant@yahoo.com A patient with a transulnar styloid palmar scapho-lunate dislocation with median nerve injury is described. The dislocation could be reduced by closed manipulation under anaesthesia, and the scapho-lunate ligament was repaired subsequently using a Mytek Micro bone anchor. This case is reported for its rarity and its management. Although closed reduction can be achieved by manipulation, scapho-lunate ligament repair is essential to prevent rotatory instability of the scaphoid with this pattern of injury.
